The Arbitrum Foundation has unveiled a proposal for a $400 million Gaming Catalyst Fund, targeting the expansion and enhancement of its blockchain gaming sector. In a detailed proposal published on the community forum, the Arbitrum Foundation outlined its vision for the fund. The initiative, designed to enrich Arbitrum’s gaming landscape, is currently seeking endorsement from the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) to roll out over a span of two years.

Gam3s.gg has raised $2M to launch Web3 gaming superapp and $G3 tokens

Web3 gaming superapp Gam3s.gg has raised $2 million in funding and it said it plans to launch its native $G3 token to drive Web3 gaming adoption. The company said its mission is to onboard the next 100 million gamers onto Web3. The round featured a host of leading VCs participating in the strategic round which will support Gam3s.gg’s goal of transforming Web3 gaming. The investors include Merit Circle, WWVentures, Cogitent Ventures, P2 Ventures, Cypher Capital, Acheron, Basics Capital, OIG Capital, BreederDAO, Hercules Ventures and notable angels including Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, YGG cofounder Gabby Dizon, Sky Mavis & Ronin co-founder Jiho Zirlin, and LiquidX co-founder Giulio Xiloyannis, among others. Following the funding round, Gam3s.gg plans to proceed with the launch of its native $G3 token. A token generation event, scheduled for early April, will see the $G3 token issued to a global audience of Web3 gamers through a public sale and an airdrop event to reward the early users over the past 18 months. The $G3 token is set to unlock exclusive platform features, game rewards, and the opportunity to participate in upcoming token launches for games.
